About HamPost
HamPost is an independent publication about amateur radio — what to operate, how to operate it well, and why it matters.
We cover three things and try to do them properly: honest gear reviews, plain-spoken guides, and a structured database of manufacturers, series, and models. No hype, no affiliate-driven scoring, no filler.
What we publish
- Reviews. Hands-on evaluations with a consistent scoring method. When we score a rig, we tell you how we got there.
- Guides. Evergreen, people-first explainers — from getting licensed and antennas to propagation, digital modes, and operating.
- The database. A reference of manufacturers, series, and models you can actually navigate.
- Shack Stories. A community space where operators share the moments behind every contact.
How we stay independent
Our editorial judgment is not for sale. We do not accept payment in exchange for a favorable review or a higher score. Where a page contains advertising or affiliate links, it does not change what we write. See our Editorial Policy for the full picture.
